Cosy knit rugs

So, I checked out the rug from this morning's post in town, it's ASKO Mixed (see pic below). Wonder if it'll fit in my Christmas stocking?! And look at these other super comfy knit rugs. I even found socks to match, naturally! Roll tootsie roll....

A light, bright and beautiful Stockholm home

He j hej! I thought this fab black and white Stockholm apartment would make a great breath of fresh air for this Tuesday morning post?! It has recently been sold through Alvhemmakleri, but no doubt the home-owners took all their fab designer furniture with them!.....

I love this rug and have my eye on it for our sitting room. I forget who it's by but
I'll be popping into town today so will check it out and let you know.

Look at all the different patterns of squares and rectangulars in the set-up. It looks fab!

Ooooo, love the painted hall floor....

We've just had our wooden floors lightened like this and it makes such a difference to these dark wintery days. Imagine in the summer? We'll have to wear sunglasses around the house. Hmmm, wishful thinking.

Right, time for the the *latte* but pop by later for more inspiration! Kram!

House Doctor Christmas shopping

Wow, what a gloomy Monday it is here in Southern Sweden. I hope it's brighter where you are? But I'm thinking, *Christmas* and nothing warms the heart faster. These lovely items from House Doctor are perfect *November* decorations, i.e. subtle and seasonal rather than rudolph and friends for people like me who just can't wait.

Yup, loving these wooden lanterns in the last picture. Oh so Scandinavian, oh so cosy and lovely. Make that 5. Thank you House Doctor!

Relaxed vintage Swedish home in Berlin

Hi and Happy Monday! I hope you had a lovely weekend? I thought I'd kick off the week with this beautiful, relaxed home of Swedish born, Malin Elmid in Berlin. It has so many personal touches; wooden vintage furniture, hints of Scandinavian style and items collected on her travels.

In my mind, Malin has created a true 'home', a space that reflects the owners story in every corner. For more pictures and an interview with Malin visit Freunde von Freunden......a wonderful website packed with inspiration. Excitingly they also have a book coming out!

Just before I go, I'd love to share this film with you about artist Lucy Chadwick by The Selby. Click here to watch. It's only 6 minutes long, a lovely snippet of loveliness for Zara. Have a great weekend and see you Monday! x

Shopping for vintage - industrial

Wonderful vintage-industrial home furniture is not always easy to find. But I looooove Etsy and always find beautiful things on there. My favourite Etsy shop of the day is Rough South Home. Here's my pick...

Industrial lights

Steel splashback
I particularly like their steel steel splash back - which you could use to create a similar feel to the lovely kitchen in this picture below from the Varberg home I posted a few weeks ago.

Concrete stairway to heaven

Happy Friday! Always a good day! When I saw these beautiful pics by Bruno Warion on Desire to Inspire I thought two things: wow and want those concrete stairs. A work of art! I also love the blue accent in the first pic so pretty against the brown and beiges.

What do you think?

I hardly got a wink of sleep last night as my littlest one decided to 'play' between 2am and 4am so I'm very *bleary eyed* this morning. Cue: XXXXL *latte*! But I'll be back in a tick with some inspiration on shopping for industrial....
